Psalm 34:17 "The righteous cry, and the LORD heareth, and delivereth them out of all their troubles."

David Johnathan "Nate" Gerald II , 46, of Egg Harbor Township, New Jersey, transitioned from his earthly home on July 4, 2017 after a brief illness. "Nate" was born on March 17, 1971 in Somers Point, New Jersey. In his early years, he spent a lot of time in Mullins, South Carolina wit h his maternal grandparents which is where most of his cousins were. He was very comical and quite a jokester. Whenever he entered the room, you could expect you were going to have a good time. His cousins viewed him as a role model because he was one of the oldest grandchildren, very protective of them and he carried himself with much charisma.

In 1991, Nate graduated from Ocean City High School. He was loved by his classmates as he was easy to get along with. After high school, he attended Atlantic Community College and was employed by the Hilton Hotel Casino for ten years. After which, Nate became employed with the New Jersey Department of Corrections (NJDOC) and completed State Basic  Correction Officer Training with Class of 181 on January 17, 2001. He remained employed with NJDOC until he transitioned.

His beloved son, David J. Gerald III, maternal grandparents; Irene and Raleigh Legette, paternal grandparents; Mable and Watkin Gerald, Jr., James Gerald, Walter Gerald, Edgar Gerald along with numerous great aunts and great uncles preceded him into eternal rest.
