Beth Hodges, age 72, of Gatesville passed away on Saturday, July 15, 2017 in Gatesville. Funeral Services will be at 10:00 am, Thursday on July 20, 2017, at Scott’s Funeral Home with Minister Deral McWhorter officiating. Burial will follow at Restland Cemetery. Visitation will be from 7-9 pm on Wednesday at the funeral home.

Beth Hodges was born on August 17, 1944 in Rapids Parrish, LA to the late Johnnie and Lessie Strange Baham. After high school, she attended Sam Houston State University. Beth met Bobby Hodges, Sr. while working in Bay City, Texas and they later married on August 3, 1962. They settled in Gatesville in 1979, and they both continued their careers at TDCJ. Beth worked in the Garment Factory where she loved teaching inmates how to sew. Beth was a faithful member of the Coryell County Genealogy Society and the Church of Christ.

Beth was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Bobby D. Hodges, Sr.

Beth is survived by her daughter, Lisa Hodges; son, Bobby D. Hodges, Jr and wife, Vanessa; three grandchildren, Curtis Hodges, Jr., and wife, Catie, Larisa Hardie, and husband, Patrick and Bobby D. Hodges, III (Bear); and three great grandchildren, Stormi, Peyton and Sophia Hardie.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Coryell County Genealogy Society.
