Coleman Shelton was born on April 22, 1934 in Madison County, North Carolina to George Nelson and Dora Leithea Hensley Shelton.
He was the fourth of five children:

Coleman Shelton
Lou Ella Shelton Shelton
Coleman married Betty Jean Malone on Oct. 6, 1954 in Greene County, Tennessee which ended in divorce.
Coleman's dad Nelson Shelton wore two watches as I recall. Someone ask him why two watches. I remember his reasoning to this day. He said my boy lives in Tacoma, Washington and I always wonder what time it was where he was so I set one Eastern Standard Time and Pacific Standard Time so I will always know what was the time with Coleman.
