INDIANOLA, Neb. —
One person is dead after a crash early Sunday morning 3 miles east and one-half mile north of Indianola.
The Nebraska State Patrol said 23-year-old Aaron Jones of Cambridge was driving southbound on gravel road 399 when he lost control of his pickup and rolled into a ditch at around 2 a.m. Sunday.
Police say a 19-year-old passenger, Holly Myers of Horace, Kan., was taken to a hospital in McCook and then was flown in critical condition to CHI Health Good Samaritan in Kearney.

A second person has died after a crash in Red Willow County, according to the Nebraska State Patrol.
On Sunday, July 9, a pickup driven by Aaron Jones, 23, of Cambridge, lost control and rolled on Road 399, a few miles east of Indianola.
NSP tells NTV News, Holly Myers, 19, of Horace, Kansas died Saturday, July 15, as a result of injuries from the crash.
Both were ejected from the vehicle during the crash. Jones died at the scene.
Myers was transported to Good Samaritan Hospital in Kearney.
According to Nebraska State Patrol, alcohol is believed to be a factor in the crash and neither person in the truck was wearing seat belts.

HORACE, Kan. — Holly Shay Myers, 19, has gone to her eternal home. She passed away on July 15, 2017, as a result of injuries suffered in a motor vehicle accident near Indianola, Neb., on July 9, 2017.

Holly, to everyone who knew her, was a beautiful, bubbly, energetic ray of sunshine. Holly could brighten up the room by just walking in it. She was always positive, and would help anyone at anytime. One of her passion was being able to help her nephew’s and niece to learn new things like learning to walk, putting on their shoes, riding bikes and scooters, and of course let us not forget, how to take a proper selfie. Holly loved to tell stories, for this she made sure that she had everyone’s full and undivided attention. She loved life, learning new things, and was and always will be an excellent role model to her nephew’s and niece. Holly loved and was loved by many. To anyone who met her, it is easy to say she left an impressionable mark. Her gorgeous smile and caring personality will always live on in people’s memories. Her pure heart will always be kept alive by those who love her.

Holly was born in Tribune, Kan., on Nov. 28, 1997. She lived in Horace her whole life. She attended Greeley County Schools where she graduated May 14, 2016.

While attending GCHS she was involved in many activities, volleyball, basketball, SADD, National Honor Society, and her favorite, cheerleading. She was also a member on The one-and-only SQUAD. After high school she attended McCook Community College in McCook, Nebraska. While there she was a member of the McCook Lady Indians volleyball team, she was the vice-president of the dance club and a member of PBL (a business leadership program) Holly recently returned from Anaheim, Calif., where she competed in public speaking and impromptu speech for the MPCC PBL team at national’s. Holly graduated from MPCC on May 12, 2017. She was planning on continuing her education this fall at Oklahoma Panhandle State University.

She was preceded in death by maternal grandfathers’,​ Harold G. Wilson and John C. Kennis; and aunt, Rose M. Stritt.

She is survived by father, Virgil Ray Myers of Horace; mother, Joanie Myers of Horace; four sisters, Heather Myers of Horace, Haley Myers and fiancé of Monument, Kan., Ashley Myers and boyfriend of Horace and Alisha and husband, Dillon Gipson of Dighton, Kan.; brother, Dustin and wife, Coriander Myers of Horace; nephews, Hayden and Kolten Myers of Horace, Ryan Stillwagon and Kohlson Huffman of Monument and James Gipson of Dighton, Kan.; niece, Scarlett Myers of Horace; paternal grandparents, Don and Charlotte Myers of Hamlet, Neb.; maternal grandmother, Ann Wilson Tribune, Kan.; and several aunts, uncles, cousins, great-aunts and great uncles and second cousins and many, many friends.

Funeral services are Saturday, July 22, 2017, at 10 a.m. (MDT) at the Greeley County High School Gymnasium, 400 W Lawrence, Tribune, Kansas, Kan. Pastor Dustin Fritzmeier will be presiding.

Burial will follow in the Myers Family Cemetery, Horace.

Visitation will be Friday, July 21, 2017, from 1 to 7 p.m. MDT) at the Greeley County High School Gymnasium in Tribune.
