MRS LUCILLE BROWN 88 of 3009 Selwyn Ave died Sunday in a local hospital. Funeral plans incomplete.

Survivors: daughter Miss Dorothy Brown of Charlotte; sons Claude Brown of Charlotte, Travis Brown of Washington, D.C.; brothers, Rear Admiral Thomas H. Taylor of New York, Arthur R. Taylor of Como, Miss.

Note: Lucile married Claude Walter Brown, a native of North Carolina, in 1903 and they had three children: Dorothy Alberta, Travis Taylor and Claude Jr. Claude's obituary and death certificate state he was buried in Charlotte, though there is a headstone for him here at Friendship.
