Richard Irvin Broyles, 72, of Greeley passed away Sunday, July 9, 2017 at North Colorado Medical Center (NCMC). He was born September 5, 1944 in Sterling, CO to John Washington and Albertina Christine (Werth) Broyles where he grew up and attended school. In 1994, he married Jill Ann Massey. Richard owned and operated his own trucking companies, hauling meat to the West coast and produce back home to the Denver area. He enjoyed NHRA drag racing, Colorado Rockies, Denver Broncos as well as a number of different sports and was a jokester and flirt. He loved his dogs, most recently his Schnauzers and time with his family and grandkids. Survivors include his wife, Jill of Greeley; children, Bryan Broyles of Loomis, NE, Will Sigmund and Misty Burton (Bradley Frasco) both of Greeley, and Justin Broyles of Grangeville, Idaho; ten grandchildren, Kodi Jean (Rickey) Austin of Axtell, NE, Katie Broyles (Keifer Mitchell) of Sidney, NE, Coral Noell Broyles of Holdrege, NE, Gage and Garrett Sigmind of Stafford, KS, Kaylee (Johnny Green), Kaycee, Steven, Rylee and Richard Burton all of Greeley; two great-grandchildren, Brennan and Paisley Austin of Axtell; niece, Debbie (Leroy) Whipkey and nephew, Darryl (Jan) Boehmer. He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Mildred Boehmer and brother, Robert "Bob" Broyles. Visitation 5-7 p.m. Wednesday, at the Adamson Life Celebration Home. Life Celebration service 2 p.m. Thursday at Adamson. A reception will follow at the Broyles home.
