Reuben Kenney Jr. was the 2nd born child of the union of Hannah Sparhawke Town Kenney/Kinney and Reuben Kenney/Kinney, his birth is recorded in Early Vital Records.

His death is not found in any Vital records, and his last known citation is being a male under the age of 16 in his father Reuben's household in the 1790 census as well as his sister Sally being one of the 2 females recorded as well. Reuben Sr.'s last name was was mistakenly written as King not Kenney in the 1790 census.

Neither Reuben Jr. or Sally is found with their parents in the 1800 census, and while Reuben would have been 21 and possibly on his own, the fact that in his father Reuben's will in 1811 that Reuben Sr. only mentioned and left $50 to his step daughter Hannah Burnap, and his personal effects to his 2 nephews Nathan Jr. and Alpheus Kinney, sons of his sister Eunice with whom he lived with at that point, and Nathan Jr was appointed Executor, leave no doubt that his own children Sally and Reuben Jr had to have been dead already.

A possible cause of death and time frame for Reuben Jr. and his sister Sally, is during the documented smallpox epidemic in 1792 in MA. In this same cemetery are 2 very young children of John Kenney that died 19 days apart in April of 1792. While their cause of death is not truly documented, it would not be a stretch to believe that they were victims of the documented smallpox outbreak. It is equally as possible that this may have been what took Reuben Jr and Sally's lives as well in the same year, but without true citation it is still speculation.

There are at least 2-3 spaces available next to Reuben Jr's mother Hannah Kinney's stone that would be clearly where Reuben Jr. as well as his sister Sally would be buried.
