He was born April 21, 1927, the son of Charles and Edith Strong.
He was a U.S. Navy Veteran, serving in WWII, and belonged to the American Legion Post 36 in Ludlow, Vt.
Mr. Strong worked in the Jewelry business for 23 years at the TicTock Shop in Burlington, Vt.
He was a Red Sox fan, and enjoyed many pastimes, like snowmobiling, camping, hunting and fishing, and country music - to name just a few.
Survivors include his wife, Doris (Goodrich) Strong; four sons, Randall Strong of Ludlow, Scott Strong of Springfield, Rick Strong, also of Springfield, and Jim Strong, of Proctorsville; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; one sister, Esther Strong of Ludlow; along with many nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his parents and two daughters, Shirley and Dolores; one sister Gertrude, as well as several half-brothers and sisters.
A graveside service will be held at a later date.
