Harold "Jack" Eugene Guffey, 89, of Gadsden, Alabama, died on July 12, 2017 from complications due to Alzheimer's and dementia. Born in 1928, he married wife June C. Barclay in 1947. He attended and graduated from Gadsden High School and Gadsden Trade School. He worked for Hager Hinge Company, Pipe Plant, and Allis Chalmers in Gadsden. In 1965, he owned and operated C & L Machine Shop until he retired in 1985. He is survived by three sons, nephew, sister, two grandsons, two granddaughters, eight great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandson. He was preceded in death by his wife of sixty-five years; parents, Lawson and Eva (Mebourn) Guffey; and brothers, Cleo Guffey and Lee Guffey. Graveside service: 2:00 p.m. July 16, 2017 at Crestwood Cemetery. Arrangements: Crestwood Funeral Home.
