DENISON -- Billy L. Redding went home to be with th Lord Friday, June 27, 2014, at his home in Denison.

Billy was born October 23, 1926, in Denison County, Texas, the son of Edgar and Stella Mae (Atkins) Redding. Mr. Redding served his country during his time in the U.S. Army Air Corps nearing the end of World War II.

Billy married the love of his life, Nelda Wilson, on March 26, 1949, and he loved her faithfully and whole heartedly until he passed away.

He worked at W.J. Smith Wood Preserving Company for forty years becoming the president of the company, a title he had until the closing of the company. Billy also served as president of the Katy Hospital Association, a position that he held until his death.

Mr. Redding was a family man who provided for his loved ones' needs and worked diligently to do so. He was a great man who will be dearly missed by many.

Mr. Redding is survived by his loving family and his loving wife of 65 years, Nelda Redding.
