Born September 3, 1929, in Billings, Montana, son of Meta and Theodore Hansen. He is preceded in death by sister, Carol Hansen Young, step-brother, Bob Scollard and step-sister, Erlene Scollard McCalla.
On September 3, 1951, he married his beloved, Rita McOsker Hansen, who passed away on April 1, 2012.
He graduated from California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo in 1959, with a degree from the College of Engineering - Mechanical Engineering. In 1994, after 40 years of service, he retired from the State of California, Department of Water Resources, returning as a retired annuitant for an additional 14 years. He was a devoted member of The Church on Cypress in Carmichael, where he volunteered as a Sunday School Teacher, Usher and also served as a Deacon. One of his favorite pastimes was raising horses and working on his ranch. Snow skiing was his passion, volunteering as a National Ski Patrolman for over 60 years.
He is survived by his daughter and son-in-law; grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
