Barbara Ann Gifford (July 10, 1928 to June 2, 2017) Barbara was born in Challenge, California to parents Howard and Hildred Burgan.

Barbara attended High School in Berkeley, California and went on to graduate from Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah where she received her degree. She taught Elementary School in Dublin and a few other cities for over 41 years and was a resident of Dublin for over 56 years.

She married Gale J. Gifford whom she met at a LDS activity. Barbara and Gale were married in the Manti Temple (Utah). They had 3 children: Dirk, Mark and Rebecca.

Barbara dedicated her life to her family and enjoyed painting, paper crafting, traveling, learning. She was a life long member of the Daughters of the Utah Pioneers.

Barbara is survived by her husband Gale of 65 years, her 3 children, her sister Gloria Salonen, along 12 grandchildren, 8 Great Grandchildren and many loving nieces and nephews.

Barbara's life was also enriched by her longtime neighbors and family friends. She was loved and will be missed dearly by all who knew her.

Funeral Service: June 17, 2017 11:00 am at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. 8203 Village Parkway Dublin, California 94568. Interment to follow at Oakmont Cemetery, 2099 Reliez Valley Rd., Lafayettte, CA.
