Mrs. Rose Ann Absher Greer age 85, of Lansing, NC died Tuesday, July 11, 2017 at Ashe Memorial Hospital. Mrs. Greer was born September 10, 1931 in Grayson County, VA to Sam and Clarcie Walls Absher. Mrs. Greer was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Wayne Greer and brother, Harry Absher. Mrs. Greer was a member of Pleasant Chapel Church. She was always cooking, canning and quilting. She also enjoyed gardening and working in her flowers. Mrs. Greer loved her two cats and listening to preachers on the radio.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, July 13, 2017 at 3:00 pm at Ashelawn Memorial Chapel by Rev. Jim Greer and Rev. Joey McClure. Burial will follow in Carpenter-Fairview Cemetery.
Mrs. Greer is survived by: Daughters, Debbie Greer of Jefferson and Ellen Woodie and husband Eddie of Lansing, Sons, Sammy Greer and wife Lynn, Peter Gregory Greer, Roger Greer, Jimmy Dean Greer and wife Betty Lou all of Lansing, Russell Greer of Jefferson and Rick Greer and wife Lynna of Warrensville, Brothers, Mack Absher of Independence and Scottie Absher of White Top, Sisters, Phyllis Stamper of Rural Retreat and Macy Culbertson of Chilhowie, VA, Grandchildren, Michael Greer, Sammy Lynn Greer, Jason Coldiron, Angel Greer, Candy Greer, Brandy Blevins, Timmy Wayne Greer, Nathan Greer, Kelly Phipps, Brandy Phipps, Savannah Woodie, Colby Greer and Ally Greer also surviving are 5 great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.
