LEO C. CARADORI, FOUNDED CONSTRUCTION FIRM

A Mass of Christian Burial for Leo C. Caradori, the founder of JBC (Jack Bruno Caradori) Construction Co., will be offered at 9 a.m. Wednesday in Our Lady of Pompeii Catholic Church, 158 Laverack Ave., Lancaster.

Prayers will be said at 8:15 in the Amigone Funeral Home, 6050 Transit Road, Depew. Burial will be in the St. Adalbert's Cemetery, Lancaster.

Caradori, 77, of Lancaster, died Sunday (June 18, 1989) in St. Joseph Hospital, Cheektowaga.

He and family members formed the construction business in 1945.

In 1967, he became president of Caradori Construction Co. and retired in 1977.

He supervised construction on the inner and outer loop roads of the University at Buffalo North Campus in Amherst.

Caradori also was a member of Local 17 of the Operating Engineers union for 48 years and the Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks, Lancaster.

Survivors include his wife of 58 years, the former Rose V. Long of Lancaster; two sons, John of Williamsville and James of Elma; a sister, Florence Draicchio of Depew; 11 grandchildren, and seven great-grandchildren.
