Mrs. Ira Mae Becker, 65, passed away October 26, 2013 in Houston, Texas. She is preceded in death her her father, James A. Staples; son, Albert Vasquez; and brother, Lee Staples. Ira is survived by her loving husband Gerald S. Becker; mother, Rosemary Rodriguez; sister, Emily Gutierrez; and brother, Ronnie Rodriguez; step-sons, Randy Becker and Jeff Becker; step-daughter, Ann Hughes; 3 grandchildren, Ricky Larzo, Andrew Vasquez, Carlos Vasquez; and 7 step-grandchildren, Timothy Becker, Samuel Becker, Thomas Becker, Candace Hughes, Chelsea Hughes Misty Becker, and Blake Becker. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, November 23, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. in the Chapel of Distinctive Life Funeral Homes, 5455 Dashwood Dr., Bellaire, Texas 77401. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in Ira’s name to the M.D. Anderson Cancer Center, P.O. Box 4486, Houston, Texas 77210 or www.mdanderson.org/gifts.
