He was raised in Norway and graduated from Oxford Hills High School in 1976. After graduating, Ed served in the U.S. Army.
After leaving the Army, Ed began working for the Oxford County Sheriff’s Department in 1980. He worked his way through the ranks eventually being appointed Jail Administrator in 2010, retiring on May 27, 2017 as Captain.

In June, 1980, he married the love of his life, Sharie Green. They had one daughter, Shonna.
Ed loved spending time on his boat fishing and going deer hunting in the fall, but the greatest joy in his life was spending time with his family, and his three grandchildren were the center of his world and apples of his eye.
He will be remembered for his story telling, BBQ skills, his sense of humor, and strong opinions on just about everything.
