CARBONDALE - June Frost, 85, of Carbondale passed away at 8:58 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 1, 2007, in Memorial Hospital of Carbondale.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 3, 2007, in Meredith Funeral Home in Carbondale, with the Rev. William Minor officiating. Interment will be in Oakland Cemetery. Visitation will be from 10 to 11 a.m. at the funeral home.
Memorials may be made to Heartland Christian Center, 519 S. Giant City Road, Carbondale, IL 62901 and will be accepted at the funeral home.
June was born June 12, 1921, in Carbondale to Elmer and Adeline (Davis) Frost. She is preceded in death by her parents; four brothers; one sister, and one nephew, Gene Gurley.
Survivors include many nieces and nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews, Sandy Kaney, Pat Budzinski, Shirley Frost, Phyllis Moore, Donny Frost, Vickie Frost, Mike Frost, Doug Frost, Beth Stearns, Willene Minor, Rick Gurley, Bernadean Wheetley and Gary Gurley; and several great-great-nieces and great-great-nephews.
June was a member of Assembly of God Church in Carbondale. She had been employed by the American Linen Company for many years.
June appreciated the outdoors and was avid about maintaining the appearance of the yard at the family homestead.
