Rebecca “Becky” Austin, 70, of Belding, passed away Tuesday evening, July 11, 2017 at home under the loving care of her family and Ionia Area Hospice. Becky was born on January 23, 1947 in Sheridan, the daughter of Doyle and Lorraine (Buckle) Alexander.
She enjoyed bingo, going to flea markets and mini vacations with her family. She loved spending time with family and hard a huge collection of angels. In earlier years she worked at Wesco and later drove the Dial A Ride bus in Belding. Becky will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
Becky married Raymond M. “Teaner” Austin on August 23, 1963 in Belding.
She is loved and survived by her husband “Teaner” and their children, Tammy (Coyne) Austin (Tom Bergy) of Lowell; Lori (Dave) Kalnins of Greenville, Tim (Lynn) Austin of Belding, Missy (Al) Hesel of Greenville, Debbie (Butch) DeCraene of Belding; grandchildren, Ron (Leslie), Theresa (Kristian), Jessica (Andrew), Mike (Linda), Craig and Christina; several great grandchildren; brother, Charles (Doris)Alexander of Florida and several nieces and nephews.
Becky was preceded in death by her parents, son, Dale Ray Austin; three brothers, James, Donald and Edson and one sister, Kay.
Funeral services will be Noon on Saturday, July 15, 2017 at Johnson-Feuerstein Funeral Home, Belding with Pastor Ken Harger officiating. Visitation will be 2:00-4:00 and 6:00-8:00 PM on Friday at the funeral home. Committal prayers will be in Rest Haven Memory Gardens, Belding. A luncheon will follow the service at the American
Legion in Belding. Memorials may be given to Ionia Area Hospice or Alzheimer’s Association.
