Evelyn “Marty” (Zintz, Osborn) Barnes, 70, Roann, passed away at 6:00 am Sunday, July 9, 2017, at St. Vincent Hospital in Kokomo. She was born January 2, 1947, in Goslar, Germany, the daughter of the late Witold & Grete (Wolfram) Zintz. On March 14, 1992, she married Robert D. Barnes Jr., in Las Vegas, who preceded her in death on May 22, 2016.
Evelyn was a 1965 graduate of Mt. Miguel High School. She retired in 1991 from General Motors. After retirement, she worked for Manchester College. Evelyn loved her children and family along with her animals. She enjoyed traveling, yard work with friends and camping.
Evelyn is survived by her children, Tom (Tonya) Osborn Jr., Kokomo, Scott Osborn, Kokomo, Cindy (John) Neese, Converse, and Matt Barnes, Kokomo, brother, Ed (Linda) Zintz, San Diego, CA; and sister, Carol (Jeff) Peters, La Mesa, CA; including, 14 grandchildren, and 12 great-grandchildren.
Evelyn was preceded in death by her parents, and her husband.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm Monday, July 17, 2017, at Shirley & Stout Funeral Home & Crematory, 1315 West Lincoln Road, Kokomo. Burial will follow in Sunset Memory Gardens.
