Virginia McConnaughey

Virginia Rose (nee Hendrixson), beloved wife of the Late Edwin M. McConnaughey. Loving mother of Edwin L. (Emiko) McConnaughey, Bertha H, (Jonathan) Spicker, dear grandmother of Edwin M. (Dione) McConnaughey, Margaret A. McConnaughey, and Amanda R. Spicker, great grandmother of Troy and Trent McConnaughey. Completed her wonderful life July 1, 2017, at age 99.

Virginia and her husband Ed grew up in Madeira where they lived until moving to Montgomery in 1960. Virginia attended Madeira High School where she lettered in basketball as well as playing on the City Softball Team. Virginia was very close with her siblings as well, all preceded her in death, Mildred Brock, Bertha Fesmire, Thomas Hendrixson, and Marian Hendrixson.

Virginia and Ed enjoyed bowling family picnics and visiting family in the country. Virginia dotted on her nieces and nephews as well as her three beloved grandchildren and two great grandchildren.

Visitation and services begin at Noon, Saturday, July 8th at Arlington Memorial Gardens Mausoleum Chapel, 2145 Compton Road. At the enterance take a left and follow the red line to reach the mausoleum chapel. Memorial gifts may be made to SPCA Cincinnati,
