Don spent most of his life in law enforcement. He served with the Muskogee County and Cherokee County Sheriff's Departments. He also served as an EMT and worked for Tulsa Life Flight. Don had a servant's heart and enjoyed
the work that he did. He enjoyed shooting and he loved firearms and knives. He did a lot of Racing and enjoyed messing with the race cars. Listening to music was one of favorite things, and he loved all kinds. He enjoyed spending
time rock hounding. Don loved to learn and always said that every day was a day to learn. Don loved people and enjoyed getting together with family. He loved his grandchildren and enjoyed spending time with them.
Don touched many lives over the years and will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and his grandson Dale Lawrence Jr.
He is survived by a loving family which includes his wife Theresa Alberty of the home; his sons Dale Lawrence and wife Gina of Arkansas City, KS and J.D. Alberty and wife Cassie of Tahlequah;
his sister Denise Small and husband Ken of Kansas City, MO; his brother Jimmy Alberty and wife Kat of Muskogee; 8 grandchildren and 1 great granddaughter. A herd of nieces and nephews, whom he loved dearly and thought
of as his own children, also survive him as well as a host of friends and other relatives.
