The son of Otha W Turner and Vera May Acklin. After his mother and sister Peggy Lee died in 1939 his father moved the remaining 3 remaining children to California. After marrying Mary Ellen Snuffin the family moved to Eagle Point Oregon in 1949. He married his high school sweetheart Wynnelle in 1954 after joinng the Navy. They had 6 children and lived in many places following the construction trade. The family ended up in Walsenburg Colorado where he started his Stucco busines in 1989. In 1999 he began his herd of beef cattle which was the dream of his life. He died unexpectley at his daughters home in Washington and was cremated in order to make the journey home to Colorado. He is survived by his wife Wynnelle, sons Gary, Todd and Jeff of Colorad and daughers Brenda Casey and Melinda Lahti of Washington, 9 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.
