Beverly graduated from Saint Wendelin High School in Fostoria, Ohio. She attended Mercy School of Nursing College and graduated with top honors. Devoted and hardworking, Beverly enjoyed a long and productive career as a registered nurse for forty-three years. Beverly had a dedication to the advancement of medicine and focused the majority of her career on taking care of people with serious illnesses. A true advocate of patient care, she spent countless hours researching and facilitating change in care standards and insurance practices. She retired from nursing formally in the Home Health setting in 2014. In addition to her professional activities, Beverly was a member of St. Michael's Parish in Findlay, Ohio. She had a long-standing commitment to raising and training dogs, all rescued from shelters. An avid animal enthusiast and supporter of animal shelter activities, she often took dogs to local nursing homes for resident visits. She enjoyed volunteering with Challenged Champions, 50 North Senior Center, and Cancer Patient Services. Beverly was a devoted and loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and aunt. She will be greatly missed by her family and many friends who deeply loved her.
Beverly is survived by her loving husband, Michael H. Schroeder; children, Tara Schroeder, Trisha (Nathan) Buza, and Paige Schroeder; grandchildren, Reese, and Roman Buza. She is also survived by her sisters, Bonnie (Terrance) Miller, Barbara (James) Schlotterbeck; brother Wayne (Amy) Price; and her two sisters-in-law, Martha (Bill) Kehrli, and Patricia (David) Schilling.
Calling hours are Wednesday, April 19th from 5:00-7:00 PM at HUFFORD FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 1500 Manor Hill Rd, Findlay. A Mass will be held on Thursday, April 20th at 11:30 AM, at St. Michael the Archangel Church, 617 West Main Cross St., Findlay, Ohio (Downtown). Father Scott Woods will celebrate the Mass. Burial will follow in the St. Michael Cemetery. A lunch reception will be held at the Knights of Columbus, 701 West Main Cross St., Findlay, Ohio.
