She was born May 14, 1942 in Cloquet to Leo and Aili (Alanen) Worgren. Beverly grew up in Brookston and graduated from Brookston High School in 1960.
She married Chester Christenson, Jr. on June 4, 1960 in Cloquet. Beverly worked for the Minn. Dept. of Natural Resources Forestry Dept. in the Arrowhead and Floodwood towers. She also farmed and raised beef cattle with her husband for many years. Beverly also worked as a nurse's aide in area nursing homes.
The joy of her life were her grandchildren, Willow, Tucker, and Maddy. She loved to dance, garden, work with flowers, pick berries, can, and cook. She even liked to raise a little heck once in a while.
Beverly is survived by her husband, Chester of Brookston; sons, Clinton (Linda) of Cloquet, Forrest, and Curtis (Tricia) both of Brookston; daughter, Holly (Michael) Brown of Brookston; brother, Ray (Jeannette) Worgren of Cloquet; sisters, Leona (Lawrence) Zacher and Arlene Nordin both of Duluth; grandchildren, Willow, Tucker, and Madeline; special friends, Bernice Bong and Esther Vorderbruggen; and many nieces and nephews and their families.
Memorial service will be at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 3, 2004 in Northland Funeral Home, 801 14th St. in Cloquet. A time of lunch and fellowship will follow in the Fireside Room of the funeral home.
