Sidney F. White, age 89 of Monticello, passed away Tuesday, July 11, 2017 at his home. He was born February 11, 1928 in Monticello, AR to the late Henry Ellis White and Virgie Bailey White.

He was a United States Army Veteran, a retired mechanic and was a Christian of the Baptist faith. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by six brothers, Grady, Wilfred, Garvin, Charles, Winfred and Nick White; and two sisters, Mary White and Thelma White.

Survivors include his wife of 62 years, Lovenner Cater White of Monticello; one son, Roy Fay White of Lacey; one daughter, Mary Thomas and husband James of Monticello; five grandchildren, Sean Thomas and wife Brandy, Jennifer Winchester and husband Bryan, Lisa Rainwater and husband Tracy, Nellie White and Roy D. White; nineteen great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Graveside service will be 10:00 a.m. Thursday, July 13, 2017 at Sixteenth Section Cemetery in the Possum Valley community with Rev. John Martin officiating. Online guestbook at www.stephensondearman.
