Clyde was born on May 14, 1930 in Two Rivers, son of the late John and Martha (Schmidt) Mancel. He was a graduate of Washington High School in Two Rivers with the class of 1948. On May 6, 1977 he married the former Noreen Draeger in Manitowoc. She preceded him in death on July 2, 1997. Clyde worked for Hamilton Manufacturing and later retired from Thermo Fisher Scientific. He enjoyed stock car races, music (especially Country music festivals), and nature. Clyde loved Wisconsin because you truly experience all four seasons.
Survivors include on son: Gregory (Robert Blazek) Mancel, Green Bay; two daughters: Margaret (Robert) Conn, Janet (Todd) Lindemann, all of White Lake, WI; two grandchildren: Austin Conn (special friend Hillary) and Levi Lindemann; one sister: Audrey Hannemann. Nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends also survive. He was preceded in death by his wife: Noreen Mancel; three brothers and sisters-in-law: Robert ( Ruth) Mancel, John (Junice) Mancel, Gladwin (Eunice) Mancel; and one sister and two brothers-in-law: Joyce (Paul) Engeldinger and Rheinhold Hannemann.
Funeral Services will be held at 12:30 p.m. on Wednesday, July 12, 2017 at the Pfeffer Funeral Home, Manitowoc. Officiating at the service will be Deacon Alan Boeldt. Following the services cremation will take place at All-Care Cremation Center, Manitowoc, and burial of Clyde's cremated remains will take place at Knollwood Memorial Gardens at a later date.
