Resided in Cynthiana, KY MAJ. HAROLD DAVID KEARNS, USAF RET., 81, Cynthiana, died Sunday, July 9, 2017 at Cedar Ridge Health Campus. Born in Harrison County, June 14, 1936 to the late, Finnie and Vada Shumate Kearns, he was a retired pilot in the United States Air Force. Major Kearns was also retired from the 3M Company and a member of Cynthiana Baptist Church. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Wanda Faye Osborne Kearns.
He is survived by a son, David Kearns, Hazard; a sister, Wanda (Maurice) West, Harrison County; two grandchildren, Rikki Kearns and Christopher Kearns; four great-grandchildren, Madison Faye Kearns, Caydon Kearns, Braylon Kearns and Timothy Gorham; three special nieces, Cynthia (David) Vickers and Cathy (David) Grinstead, both of Cynthiana and Teresa (Doug) Lane, Minnesota and a special nephew, Glenn West, Los Angles, California and a special friend, Norma Godbey, Lexington.
Funeral services will be 1:00 P.M. Friday at Ware Funeral Home by Rev. Curtis Coots with visitation at 10:00 A.M. Burial will be in Battle Grove Cemetery. In
