Gary Lee Lowe age 59 of Kenton passed away at 6:43 p.m. on Saturday, July 8, 2017 at Kenton Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. He was born December 13, 1957 in Kenton, OH the son of James T. "Ted" and Rosalie Ann (Holycross) Lowe. His mother survives in Kenton. On September 14, 1991 Gary married Diana Hines and she survives. Gary is also survived by his daughters Tami Baum of Kenton, OH and Tara (Jason) Smith of Dothan, Alabama; grandchildren Eric Baum, Shayln Baum, and William Wilson; a sister Jolene Kay (Matt) Urbancic of Austin, Texas; grandmother Leah Holycross; a sister-in-law Doris Lowe of Kenton and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father James T. Lowe and a brother Terry Gene Lowe. He was a 1976 graduate of Kenton High School. Gary was a former member of the Kenton Moose Family Center #428 where he enjoyed being a member of the golf league for several years. He was a tax administrator for the City of Kenton. Gary graduated from broadcasting school in Columbus and was the voice of the Kenton Wildcats on WKTN for 31 years and was inducted into the Hardin County Sports Hall of Fame. A funeral service will begin at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, July 12, 2017 at SCHINDEWOLF-STOUT-CRATES FUNERAL HOME with Pastor Steve Hess officiating. Burial will follow in Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be held for two hours (11:00 - 1:00) prior to the service on Wednesday. Memorial contributions can be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
