Mr. Curt McCarty, age 80, of Sulphur, died Monday, February 19, 1990, at the Tri-County Community Hospital, LaGrange. He was a retired farmer and a member of the Sulphur Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife: Mrs. Gladys Payton McCarty, Route 1, Campbellsburg; one daughter: Mrs. David (Linda) Stewart, New Castle; two sons: William (Ken) McCarty, Lexington and Cecil McCarty, New Castle; three sisters: Mrs. Mary Stewart, Mrs. Laura Goins and Mrs. Neville (Flora) Long, all of Frankfort; one brother: Richard McCarty, Shelbyville, eleven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, February 21st at the Prewitt Funeral Home, New Castle. Rev. Scott Courtney, pastor of the Sulphur Baptist Church, officiated, assisted by Rev. Ferrell Davis, pastor of the Milton Baptist Church. Interment was in the New Castle Cemetery.
