EAST LIVERPOOL–Kristen Kay Smith, 25, of East Liverpool, passed away Sunday, July 9, 2017, from complications of a sudden illness.
Born Jan. 16, 1992 in Akron, Ohio, she was the daughter of Jeffrey (Heidi) Smith of Wellsville and Evelyn “Ev” Potts of East Liverpool.
Kristen graduated from East Liverpool High School, Class of 2010 and she was a member of the National Honor Society. Kristen enjoyed cooking and baking, writing poetry, the outdoors, and being with her family.
She was preceded in death by her paternal grandfather, Robert Smith.
Along with her parents, left behind to cherish her memory are her two sisters, Amanda (Brandon) Roe of Florida and Jennifer Morgan of East Liverpool; a nephew, Brandon Roe II; and by her fiance, Tyler Davis of East Liverpool; maternal grandparents, Allen and Terry Potts of East Liverpool; paternal grandmother, Marjorie Smith of Wellsville; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Kristen will be especially missed by her dogs, Athena and Daisy.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m., at the Nixon Funeral Home in Newell, W.Va., where funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, July 13, 2017.
Interment will follow in the Calcutta United Presbyterian Church.
