Born Aug. 10, 1907, in Russell County, he was a son of the late Rube and Apalona Bright Pierce.
He was a retired farmer and a member of Mount Pleasant Church.
Survivors include his wife, Mary Jane Roots Pierce; two sons, Carroll and Murrell Pierce, both of Louisville; seven grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild. He was preceded in death by a son, Travis Pierce.
Services will be 11 a.m. Thursday at McKinney-Brown Funeral Home by the Rev. Clifford Dehart. Burial will be in Salem Cemetery.
