Mary Jane A. Ginn, 60, passed away on Sunday, July 9, 2017. She was born on November 24, 1956 in Pasadena, California to Donald J. and June M. (Mellen) Howie.
She attended Monrovia High School in Monrovia California. Then transferred to Sandia High School where she graduated. She married Ronald F. Ginn in Albuquerque in 1978, and they began their family. She was the longtime accountant of Il Vicino Wood Oven Pizza. Her focus was always directed to her family - they were her life. Her hobbies were many and varied. Beginning with dance, and ballet as a child, as many younger girls do. She then began collecting blown glass, then moved into music where she learned to play the the cello the base and the piano. She had a dream of one day becoming an opera singer. In high school she joined the pep quad, and drill team spending many hours practicing and performing during the football games. The highlight was when the Monrovia Pep Cats were asked to perform for President Richard Nixon. She loved parrots and standard poodles. From little parakeets, to african greys and amazons. You rarely would see her without a parrot on her shoulder.
She is survived by her mother, June M. Howie in Albuquerque; husband of 38 years, Ronald F. Ginn, Albuquerque; children, Scott (Michelle) Of Nevada, Shawn (Desiree) of Albuquerque, and Sherina (Ginn) Hunt; grandchildren: Bradley and Blake Hunt, Georgia and Trevor Ginn and Kaiden Ginn; siblings, Kathy (Howie) and husband (Greg Johnston) of Portland, OR, Bill (Anna) Howie of Monrovia, CA and Richard Howie of Austin Texas, and her two nieces Ashley C. Howie of Monrovia, and Brandee Johnston of Camarillo, California.
She was preceded in death by her father Donald James Howie.
Mary Jane was laid to rest at 10:00 AM on Wednesday, June 11, 2017 at Sandia Memory Gardens, 9500 San Pedro NE, Albuquerque.
