Funeral services were held Monday at Dicken Cemetery in Christian County for Mrs. Nannie Ellen Hicks, who died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Louis Smith of Gracey, Rev. J.J. Jenkins officiated.
Mrs. Hicks was born in Trigg County Jan 4, 1876 and spent most of her life in and around Gracey.
Survivors include four daughters, Mrs. Clyde Gregory, of Cincinnati, Ohio; Mrs. Ashton Smith of Gracey; Mrs. Porter Shaw of Gallatin, Tenn; and Mrs. Louis Smith of Gracey; two sons, Bud Hicks, of Golden Pond and Cecil Hicks of Hammond, Ind., three grandchildren, Mrs. Wallace Walker, of Hopkinsville, Marion Louis and Cecil Smith of Gracey; a number of great-grandchildren and a sister, Mrs. Gus Jones of Golden Pond.
