Nancy Jill Barry Beck, born January 18, 1963, succumbed to cancer after a valiant seventeen-year battle with cancer Monday, February 27, 2017 at her home on Barlow Street, Americus, GA. She was a daughter, wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. She was a native of Americus GA where she was employed at Americus Sumter County Hospital as a Respiratory Therapist then as a Sleep Study Therapist before retiring. She is survived by her devoted husband, Erik Beck, daughter, Kelly Averett of Charleston, SC, stepson, Coty Beck of Americus, GA, two grandchildren, Joey and Jenny Arico of Whitman, MA, mother, Janis Harris Barry McLendon and step-father Alvin McLendon, sisters, Lynn (Michael) Rutland of Albany, GA, Anne (John) Barry of Titusville, FL, brothers, Jim (Lorraine) Barry of Southport, NC, Lane (Charlotte) Barry of Port St. John, FL, and numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. She was preceded in death by her father, James Donald Barry and daughter, Amanda Elizabeth Morris.
