Francis Wynese Stallcup Reeves, passed away Saturday, July 8, 2017 at the age of 97. She was born in Celina, TX September 20, 1919 to Dr. Walter H. Stallcup and Rosa Mae Francis Stallcup. Francis graduated from Celina High School in 1936 and North Texas State Teacher's College in 1940 with a Bachelor of Science degree. She married the captain of the North Texas football team, James O. "Jug" Reeves July 4, 1942 in Providence, RI. Jug was then a LT JG Navy pilot in WWII. Jug passed away in 1981 after they enjoyed 39 years of marriage. They had three children, Rosalyn Reeves Constant (Richard), James Weldon Reeves and Roxanne Reeves Jones (Brown), 11 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren. Francis retired from school teaching having taught home economics for 30 years including Blue Ridge, Saint Jo, Wilmer-Hutchins High Schools and Comstock Jr. High School in Dallas. Francis resided for the last two and one-half years at The Village at Stonebridge Assisted Living in McKinney, TX. The family would like to express appreciation for the care and compassion of the staff. Graveside service will be held Tuesday, July 11, 2017 at 11:00am at Sparkman Hillcrest Memorial Park, 7405 W. Northwest Highway, Dallas. Ted Dickey West Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements.
