She graduated from Providence High School and soon after moved from Providence to Detroit, Michigan with her family. Anita attended Detroit City College for two years and then went to work in the office of the Detroit Lions Football team. It was here she developed her first love of becoming a lifelong football fan.
She met and married Francisco “Frank” Marchione in Detroit in 1946. They started a life together and strived for new opportunities. With opportunity came relocation. Anita dutifully uprooted their young family as they moved from Detroit to Longview, Texas.
