Ruby Christine Brown, 95, of Laurel Street, Ripplemead, VA, departed this life Tuesday morning, November 13, 2018 at her home in the loving care of her family. Born at Goodwins Ferry in Giles County on September 9, 1923, she was a daughter of the late Thomas Marion and Edna Virginia Sartin Hodge. She was preceded in death by her parents, all of her siblings, and two great-grandchildren.

She leaves to cherish her memory her son and daughter-in-law Dennis and Joanna Brown of Pembroke; her daughters Martha B Ratcliff of Pearisburg, Melissa B Morsey of Land O Lakes, FL; Nancy B Weiss of Ripplemead; and Nicole Brown of Pearisburg; her special neice and her husband Judy and Earl Johnson of Pearisburg; her nine grandchildren, her seventeen great-grandchildren and her two great-great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends at the Kendall Funeral Home, 605 Snidow St., Pembroke Friday, November 16, 2018 from noon until 1:30 pm. Graveside services will follow at 2:00 pm in Birchlawn Burial Park in Pearisburg. Online condolences may be sent by visiting kendallfuneralhome
