John Walker is the son of Joseph and Sylvia Ann Harris Walker. He married Nolia Butler on September 25, 1890 in Sandusky Co. Ohio.

JOHN WALKER TAKES OWN LIFE

On Saturday, August 5, John Walker, well known Bradner citizen committed suicide by shooting himself in the forehead in his bedroom. The tragedy occurred at 9 o'clock in the morning and death occurred at 11:30. Despondency is said to have been the cause of the rash deed.

The funeral was held at the residence on Monday, August 6 with Rev. George Sessions officiating. Interment was made at Trinity Cemetery.

John Walker was born near Fremont, Sandusky Co., May 29, 1866. Departed this life at his home in Bradner, August 4, 1928, aged 62 years, 2 months and 5 days. In September 1890 he was united in marriage to Miss Nola Butler. To this union was born one son Weldon J. Walker. The most of his life was spent near Risingsun, Sandusky Co. In 1913 he with his family moved to Bradner where they have since resided. He leaves to mourn his wife, one son Weldon J. Walker and wife of Clyde, three grandchildren, two brothers, James Walker of Bowling Green and Bert Walker of Lancaster and one sister, Mrs. Doris Cornelius of Kansas, besides other relatives and friends.

John Walker's death certificate states his mothers name is Minerva Sibberel, but census and obitiuary records indicate that information is incorrect.
