Funeral services for Douglas J. Murphree, 77, of Holly Pond will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 3, 2013, at Union Grove Presbyterian Church, the Revs. Ray Latham and Dink Lambert officiating, with interment in Union Grove Cemetery. Holly Pond Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Mr. Murphree died Saturday, Nov. 30. He was born in Cullman County to Oncie and Dessie Lambert Murphree. He was a carpenter and a member of Union Grove Presbyterian Church. He was preceded in death by his parents; and three brothers, Leonard, Kenneth and Bobby Murphree.
Visitation was from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday.
