Carolyn Ann Stephens, 61 of Dyersburg, Tennessee died on Sunday, July 9, 2017, at Baptist Memorial Hospital-East in Memphis, Tennessee.
Born Thursday, May 17, 1956 in Dyer County, Tennessee, she was the daughter of the late Ocil Hipps and the late Freddie Clendenin Hipps.
She was a retired employee of the Dyersburg City School System and member of Church Grove Baptist Church in Newbern, Tennessee.
Funeral services will be 10:00 AM on Wednesday, July 12, 2017 in the Chapel of Johnson-Williams Funeral Home. Officiating this service will be Rev. Ronnie Turner. Interment will follow in Fairview Cemetery in Dyersburg, Tennessee. Visitation will be Tuesday from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Johnson-Williams Funeral Home.
She is survived by her husband, Mark Stephens of Dyersburg, Tennessee; one daughter, Jennifer Chavez (Brad Johnson) of Dyersburg, Tennessee; two brothers, Johnny Hipps of Friendship, Tennessee and Oneal Hipps of Dyersburg, Tennessee; one sister, Brenda Augdon of Dyersburg, Tennessee and two grandchildren, Alex Chavez and Emma Chavez both of Dyersburg, Tennessee.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by one brother, Frankie Hipps.
Pallbearers will be Tom Wells, Tim Buffington, Zack Ellington, Ronnie Weaver, Zach Hodge and Kevin Hicks.
