Mary E. Witt Bruce was born to Bailey and Priscilla Witt, the third of five children.
She married Harvey Shepherd Bruce, a widower with four children, in 1888. Together they had three daughters (Orpha Ethel, Myrtle Fay, and Mary Elizabeth who was always called Dollie) the middle daughter being my Great Grandmother.
Mary passed away at 33 years old, within a year of her youngest child's birth, on April 1st, 1895. Cause of death is yet unknown to me.
