Randy was an exceptional “car” man. He restored, built, raced and collected American muscle cars. An entertainer, he always wanted to be the “cook” and for a time he and his wife traveled the United States to NHRA races and cooked for several race teams. The friends he made with some of the worlds best Top Fuel, Funny Car and Pro stock drivers are everlasting to this day.
Randy was an easy-going person, you would never see him mad and he never wanted to inconvenience anyone and although very social, he was not a fan of social media especially “Spacebook”as he called it. During his stay at the hospital he told his nurse “Take my name off that door so no one can find me.” He wasn’t a religious man but he did thank God every day for the many blessings he encountered; At 16 he joined Westside Baptist church and was baptized.
Preceded in death by his grandparents, two brothers, Ryan and Rod Pruett and his mother-in-law Jane Camus that he affectionately called “Cindy’s mamma”.
Left to cherish his memories, his wife Cindy Camus Pruett, father and mother Felton and Rita (Arnold) Pruett, his brother who he referred to as his “little brother” Reagan and wife Jessica Pruett and his two cats or“tidders”as he called them Whipple and Charger and many more cherished family and friends.
A graveside service will be held at 11am July 10th at Bayou Scie cemetery near Pleasant Hill, casual dress, shorts welcomed. A celebration of his life will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers please make a donation to the charity of your choice in Randy’s name.
