Edwin Leroy “Bud” Mitchell, age 84, of Douglasville passed away Saturday, July 08, 2017. He was born in Punxsutawney, Pennsylvania on July 9, 1933 to the late Leroy Charles Mitchell and the late Catherine Downey Mitchell. Bud was retired from McGee’s Construction and was Catholic by faith.
He is survived by his nieces, Pamela Irons and her husband Frank, Paula Dotson and her husband Zachariah, Patricia McLean and her husband Bill; nephew, George W. Atkinson and his wife Mary; brother-in-law, George W. Atkinson, Sr.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his sister, Marilyn Mitchell Atkinson.
Per his families he was cremated and no services are planned at this time.
