April 12, 1946 – May 8, 2016

LOUISBURG – Edwin Randolph Strickland, 70, of Louisburg, passed away Sunday morning.

Randolph was a son of the late Jack and Mary J. Strickland and was preceded in death by his sister, Melina S. Bell.

Randolph worked as an accountant specializing in taxes for 38 years, as well as performing various construction projects. He enjoyed being the business manager for Millbrook United Methodist Church for the last 16 years.

A funeral service will be held 11 am Wednesday at Rock Spring Baptist Church. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends immediately following the service.

He is survived by his loving wife of 49 years, Sheila S. Strickland; daughter, Traci S. Allen of Louisburg; son and daughter-in-law, Randy and Evelin Strickland of Raleigh; sister and brother-in-law, Anita S. and Chris Herndl of Durham; brother, Jack Strickland, Jr; brother-in-law, Coy Bell both of Louisburg; 6 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Rock Spring Baptist Church, Building Fund, 34 Rock Springs Church Rd. Louisburg, NC 27549.
