Sheila Brady Reid, 75, of Bear Creek, went to be with her husband in their heavenly home on Friday, July 7, 2017.
Mrs. Reid was born in Chatham County on July 7, 1942, the daughter of Marcus and Annie Margaret Beal Brady. Sheila was a beautician, poultry farmer and was a member of Sandy Branch Baptist Church, the Sunshine Sunday School Class, and also served as Chairperson of the Decorating Committee. She enjoyed gardening, flowers, shopping, reading, and decorating. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband of 52 ½ years, Larry D. Reid, brother, Wayne Brady and grand dogs, Bailey and Lucy.
The family received friends Sunday, July 9, 2017 from 6 to 8 PM at Smith and Buckner Funeral Home, 230 North Second Ave. Siler City. A celebration of her life was held on Monday, July 10, 2017 at 11:00 AM at Sandy Branch Baptist Church, 715 Sandy Branch Church Road, Bear Creek with Rev. Marc Sanders and Rev. David King officiating. Burial followed in the church cemetery.
