Son of Elizabeth Stutts and Leonard Furr. Married to Mary M. Pierce in 1815 in Georgia. Lived on Little Bahala Creek, MS, near his brothers Christian and Jacob. Owned a very successful plantation. When he died, his estate was valued at $40,000. Obituary from the Brookhaven Ledger, Lincoln Co, MS, July 8, 1880: "Henry Furr, an old citizen of this county, died at the age of 90 years. He was buried in a coffin made 25 years ago by J.R. Perkins, which was made for his son, but being too small, instructed to have it laid aside for himself. He wore a suit that was made for him when a boy."
