Mildred L. Hall, 95, of Madison, died Friday, Aug. 31, 2012, at her son's residence.
She was born Feb. 12, 1917, the daughter of George W. and Millie Jane Cassity Spry. She was a member of the First Baptist Church, where she also worked as a custodian.
She is survived by two daughters, Mary Ellen Johnson of Madison and Martha Stearns of North Vernon; one son, Anthony R. "Tony" Hall of Madison; 11 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; several great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews and other relatives.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Lee Hall, who died Feb. 20, 1978; one daughter, Patty Poynter, who died in 2012; six sisters, Mabel Humphrey, Virginia Spry, Mary Boehmer, Pansy Soden, Georgia Spry and Clarita Spry; and seven brothers, John, George, Harry, Ira, Raymond, William and Earl Spry.
A memorial service will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Vail Holt Funeral & Cremation Service. Burial will be in Grandview Memorial Gardens.
Friends may call the funeral home from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday and 10 a.m. until the time of the service Wednesday.
