Trudie Bell Marshall Cole, 86, of Gatesville, passed away Tuesday, Feb. 27, 2007, at Hillside Nursing Center. Services are scheduled for 2 p.m. Friday, March 2, at Scott's Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow at Restland Cemetery. The family will receive visitors from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Trudie was born June 25, 1920, in Turnersville, Texas. She was the daughter of Charles Franklin Marshall and Mary Elizabeth Millsap Marshall. Trudie attended school in Mound, Texas. She married John D. Cole on Aug. 27, 1938. They lived most of their married life in Gatesville. Trudie was a homemaker and a member of Live Oak Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; daughter-in-law, Jeanette Cole; sister, Viola Morgan; and brothers, Red Marshall, Dub Marshall, Jessie Marshall and George Marshall. Survivors include sons, John R. Cole, Tom Cole and wife, Trisha, Pat Cole and wife, Leah, and Bill Cole and wife, Annette; sisters, Ruby Perkins and Gladys McHargue; brother; M. K. "Jiggs" Marshall and wife, Cleo; sisters-in-law, Daisy Marshall, Pauline Marshall, Barbara Kelly and Vivian Cole; brother-in-la, James Cole and wife, Irene; 10 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
