Eric was born in New Albany, Mississippi, on March 23, 1914, the son of the late Will and Maggie (Nee: Henry) Rogers.

In 1935 he was united in marriage to Estelle Jackson who preceded him in death, on March 29, 1974. Eric was employed with Chrysler Corporation for many years until his retirement in 1978. He was a member of New Omega Baptist Church. Eric had a huge heart and was always willing to help anyone in need. He will be dearly missed.
