Rosalie A. Richards 77, of Findlay, went to heaven on July 2, 2017. She was born to Robert and Catherine (Swartz) Secoy on July 22, 1939, in Sycamore, Ohio. Rosalie will be remembered for her generous spirit and the gentle, unassuming ways that she served others.

Rosalie married Jim Richards and they have been married for nearly 58 years. They have lived in Bucyrus, Findlay, and Hickory, NC. Together they raised four children. Rosalie and Richard also ran a family-owned bicycle and motorcycle business for many years. They helped find a vocation committee to support those becoming priests and religious sisters. Together they were godparents to many children and sponsors for a number of adults who joined the church. They, along with Jack and Bettie Snyder helped co-found Mission Possible, a non-profit organization that serves poor children in Haiti. Together with Marci and Bob Perkins, they worked to start Louden home in Findlay for unwed mothers. With their dedication, they helped to save the lives of 296 babies. Rosalie hobbies were sewing, crafts, flowers, and music.

Rosalie’s legacy is carried on by her loving husband Jim; her children, Teresa (Sister Mary Teresita), Christine Messex, Robert and Rodney Richards; 8 grandchildren; sister, Kathleen Dutcher; and brothers Donald and Larry Secoy; and all the people she has touched in her lifetime. While her body will be laid to rest at Oak Hill in Upper Sandusky, Ohio, she will continue to prayerfully intercede for us from her place in glory.

The family would like to extend a special “thank you” to all her caregivers at Birchaven Village and to Bridge Home Health and Hospice Care.

Friends and family may visit on Monday, July 10, 2017, from 1–3 and 5-8 p.m. at HUFFORD FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 1500 Manor Hill Rd, Findlay (419-422-1500). A scripture service will be held at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. A time of visitation will be held one hour prior (9-10 a.m.) to service on Tuesday, at the church. A Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 10 a.m. on Tuesday at St. Michael the Archangel Parish (Downtown) with Fr. Nicholas Weibl and Fr. Scott Woods celebrating. Interment will take place in Oak Hill Cemetery, Upper Sandusky, Ohio at 2:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Mission Possible (P.O. Box 1026, Findlay, Ohio 45840).
